The Museum of Mineralogy and Petrography at the Georgian Technical University is located at: st. Kostava, 77, Tbilisi, 3rd building. It was founded in 1940 and is part of the Georgian Technical University. This historical museum offers visitors a unique collection of samples of ores, minerals and rocks collected by Georgian geologists both from Georgia itself and from around the world. Open daily, except Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:00. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with an ID card), as well as for people with disabilities upon presentation of a valid ID card and refugees. A visit to the museum provides an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of geology and mineralogy, represented by numerous interesting exhibits.
