The University of Georgia Museum is located at: st. M. Kostava, 77a, Tbilisi. It was founded in 2014 and is part of the University of Georgia. The museum has a legal status that is part of the general structure of the university. Its profile is historical, and the main collection consists of items obtained as a result of archaeological research in the city of Samshvilde. This includes a variety of artifacts from different eras: pottery, metal, stone and glass. In addition, the museum presents archaeological finds accidentally discovered in the monastic complexes of Samtavisi, Alaverdi, Green Monastery and other historical places. Open to visitors every day, except Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with the presentation of a card and ID), as well as people with disabilities upon presentation of the appropriate ID, as well as for refugees.
