The Museum of Archeology at Tbilisi State University named after Ivane Javakhishvili was founded in 2007. It is located at the address: Tbilisi, I. Chavchavadze Avenue, 1 (1st building, 3rd floor). The museum is part of the university and specializes in historical exhibits. The collection of this museum covers the period from the Stone Age to the late Middle Ages. It presents valuable artifacts that are of great importance not only for the history of Georgia, but also for explaining the ancient history of the Caucasus and Asia Minor as a whole. Open daily, except Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00 to 16:00. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with a card and ID), people with disabilities (upon presentation of a document) and refugees.
