Ioseb Grishashvili Library-Museum

At the intersection of Algeti street and number 1 in Tbilisi there is the Joseph Grishashvili Museum-Library. Opened in 2006, this memorial complex is part of the Unified National Scientific Library under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The museum collection includes the personal archive of the famous Georgian folk poet Ioseb Grishashvili (1889-1965), a bibliography of unique publications, samples of urban folklore, unique documents, archives, photographs, a collection of musical instruments, gramophone records, handwritten books and newspapers and much more, in total about 20,000 items. Open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, except Sunday. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with valid ID), people with disabilities (with valid ID) and refugees.
Everyday, exept Sunday, 10.00 – 18.00
