Energy sector company and capital's electricity distribution network "Telasi"

JSC Telasi is one of the leading network companies in Georgia, engaged in the distribution of electricity in the country's capital, Tbilisi. With an annual electricity consumption of approximately 3 billion kWh, the company plays a key role in providing the city's energy infrastructure.

Telasi's main activities include transportation of electricity, as well as maintenance, operation, reconstruction, modernization and expansion of Tbilisi's electricity distribution network. These measures are aimed at ensuring the efficient functioning of the capital's electricity system. The company also provides services for the transit of electricity, technical maintenance of subscribers, and also participates in the administration of the Unified Integrated and Coordinated Water Supply and Treatment System in Tbilisi.

To date, 1866 people are employed in Telasi. Servicing consumers and managing electrical networks is carried out through 8 business centers, which are evenly distributed throughout the administrative districts of the city. The total number of consumers of the company is more than 708.7 thousand.

The total length of electrical networks in Tbilisi reaches 6,455.6 km. Telasi owns 36 step-down substations of 35/110 kV and 2,205 transformer substations of 10/6/0.4 kV.

The company is actively engaged in the technical re-equipment and modernization of electrical networks, paying special attention to improving the most vulnerable segments of the network. The main goal of these efforts is to minimize the number of technical violations and significantly reduce the level of electricity losses, thereby increasing the overall efficiency and reliability of the electricity supply to the capital of Georgia.
