On the southern edge of Freedom Square stands the impressive building that once served as a Chancellery and police department in the 1830s, constructed by the Russians. In 1879, it became City Hall. Architect Paul Stern later redesigned it in Exotic and Neo-Moorish styles, which gives it a distinct look. The small tower was a nice addition made in 1910. While the architecture is truly stunning, the building could use a bit of upkeep to match its historical significance.

Очень красивое место: отсюда можно легко дойти до старого города и прогуляться по проспекту Руставели, отдохнуть в сквере Пушкина. Неподалеку находится торговый центр Галерея с театром Грибоедова. Рядом множество ресторанов и отелей.

Прекрасное здание, выполнявшее разные функции: раньше здесь размещалась городская администрация, а до этого служило городской ратушей. Было домом для множества городских структур, включая совет и горком. Важно отметить, что это историческое место связывает времена от Городской Думы Тифлиса до советской эпохи.
