We decided to visit on a Sunday afternoon because it was described as a Georgian wine spot, expecting a good selection of local wines. Unfortunately, two major issues spoiled the experience. When we arrived, the door was locked, even though it was supposed to be open. Someone eventually came to unlock it and apologized, saying they didn’t know how it happened. This was the first glaring red flag.

Once inside, the place felt empty and lifeless — the second red flag. I chose a wine we hadn’t tried before, but was told it wasn’t available. Instead, they suggested another wine, not listed, priced at 120 GEL. I asked about other options on the menu, only to be told they had just one of the red wines available — the third red flag.

It’s a shame, as the restaurant has a beautiful setting and could be a wonderful spot to enjoy good food and wine.

Very disappointing, especially compared to the many great restaurants in Tbilisi. The waiter and sommelier were kind and helpful, and the shoti bread was excellent. The Rkatsiteli Kvevri wine was good, though a bit pricier than elsewhere at 15 lari per glass.

However, the negatives outweighed the positives. This place is more expensive than most restaurants in Tbilisi, but the food quality is below par. The chikhirtma was the worst I’ve had, bland and tasteless. The veal balls and beef kharcho were tough and hard to chew, despite the sauces being delicious. A great sauce doesn’t matter if the main ingredient is unenjoyable.

The wine list is extensive, but most options are available only by the bottle. Wine by the glass is limited, restricting choices if you don't want a whole bottle.

The location is in a basement with two steep flights of stairs and no railings, making it difficult for the elderly or those with mobility issues. Menus are only in Georgian and English. Given that most tourists from the former USSR know Russian better than English, having menus in Russian would be smart, but this is not offered.

The experience began well with pleasant interiors and tasty appetizers, but took a downturn with the main dishes and wine. While Sasha the waiter provided good recommendations, the actual dishes did not meet expectations. The meat was overly dry, leading us to leave it uneaten. The amber wine, a typical Georgian variety, was much more bitter than expected and did not complement the red meat. It might be best to stick to appetizers and try different wine options.

We visited this place based on a recommendation during our month-long stay in Georgia. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the selection of local wines was good. However, our experience was mostly disappointing. When we asked the waiter for a wine suggestion, he initially recommended the most expensive bottle, then the second most expensive when we declined the first. This continued several times until we settled on an 80 GEL Saperavi. Eventually, we chose a 60 GEL bottle of Okra, which was very good. The starters, like the salad and cheese paste, were delicious, but the main courses were overcooked and burned, with sauces that were too sweet. We ended up spending more than one would at other local restaurants that offer a more authentic and friendly experience.

The place has a unique interior design. Worth visiting once, but it's quite pricey.

The restaurant is in a basement, it's roomy and simply decorated. The menu doesn’t have much detail, so I asked the waiter for help. He was friendly and even looked up the dish online for me. The food is tasty, with the rice being my favorite. It's an interesting mix of Persian and Georgian cuisine. Plus, there’s a wide selection of local wines.
