At Ananuri restaurant in Tbilisi, guests can have a great time and relax. The restaurant is divided into three isolated halls, each with a different interior and atmosphere. One hall is on the top floor, the other two are in the basement. The interior is done in warm and soft colors. On the walls hang interesting installations. In one of the halls there is live music in the evenings. The menu offers many kinds of khinkali, which are cooked according to an old Georgian recipe. There are a lot of other Georgian dishes in the menu too. Do not forget about the excellent Georgian wine, which the restaurant has a very large selection. Ananuri also serves delicious desserts. The staff of the institution is responsive and hospitable. The service is timely and of high quality.

    Архитектурный ансамбль здесь — один из лучших памятников позднефеодальной грузинской архитектуры. Это место было населено с древних времен, хотя следов ранних построек не сохранилось. После создания Арагвского эристава он стал его частью, а главная крепость князей Арагвийцев расположилась здесь. Стратегическое значение усилилось в XVII-XVIII веках, когда центральная власть ослабела, и это место стало резиденцией князей Арагвийцев. В это время укрепили и восстановили крепость. Самая старая постройка — Хевсурская башня в центре верхней крепости, датируемая XIV веком. Верхняя часть крепости была построена в XVI-XVII веках, а нижняя — в XVIII веке. Главное здание — это церковь Богоматери. Надпись на южной стороне фасада сообщает, что её построили в 1689 году по заказу Бардзима Мдиванбеги, а строительство вел архитектор Кайхосро Багсаршвили. Церковь Святой Троицы в западной части верхней крепости относится к концу XVI или первой половине XVII века. Надпись на её куполе сообщает, что он был возведен в 1674 году дочерью Анны-ханум Абашидзе в память о безвременно ушедшем Эдишере, секретаре всей Грузии.

    Great spot close to Tbilisi, Georgia. The mix of modern and ancient structures is impressive. It takes about an hour by car from Tbilisi. The place is beautiful, featuring a very old church and several notable buildings. The locals are friendly and welcoming. A two-day visit is needed to see everything. Communication in English can be challenging in nearby villages, making it tough to ask questions because of the language barrier.
