Art gallery "Gallery of Contemporary Art Tsereteli"

The gallery didn't leave a big impression on me, but it's still a nice spot to visit while in Tbilisi. Plus, there are charming neighborhoods nearby for a pleasant walk.

Visiting the gallery revealed that Tsereteli, well-known for his sculptures, is also a talented painter. The temporary exhibition featuring other Georgian artists was enjoyable as well.

The 20 GEL/person entrance fee is hard to justify when the gallery is mostly empty except for Tsereteli's works, and even those don't fill the space. For travelers, this is a gallery of a talented oil painter and sculptor, but the museum and exhibits don't live up to the price. The bronze "Apple" sculpture in the garden shows exceptional talent and craftsmanship, but few other pieces make a lasting impression. I suggest visiting the Georgian National Museum just a few minutes away, offering a more curated and valuable experience for both time and money.

This isn't a contemporary art museum; it's just a collection of Zurab Tsereteli's works. The name is really misleading.

If you're interested in a spacious gallery that lacks both visitors and artwork, this is it. Entry costs 15 lari, which makes it difficult to recommend even at that price.

The museum was superbly organized and full of information. I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibitions and the variety of galleries on display. It was an educational experience.

The museum features two exhibitions. One is a permanent display showcasing paintings and sculptures by Zurab Tsereteli, a truly remarkable artist! The other exhibition presents intriguing works by some contemporary Georgian artists. An excellent museum experience is available for an admission fee of 10 GEL (3.2€).
