The main entrance to Agmashenebeli, 93 - an art gallery under the ceiling of Tbilisi
- Description
The entrance hall at 93 David Agmashenebeli Street is one of the most impressive monuments of residential architecture in Tbilisi. It is not for nothing that it is called the "picture gallery": the ceilings and walls are decorated with paintings from the first to the last floor.
The paintings were created in 1905 by famous artists De Marzo and Telingater. The frescoes are made in the alfresco technique and cover themes in the style of European Art Nouveau with elements of symbolism and classicism.
The building and its interiors have recently been carefully restored. Today it is one of the most beautiful staircases in the city and a popular place among researchers, architects and lovers of urban aesthetics.
