The administrative center of the Shida-Kartli region
A city in eastern Georgia, which is located at the confluence of two rivers, Mtkvari and Liakhvi. Gori is the fifth most populous city in Georgia. Gori is also known as the birthplace of Soviet leader and politician Joseph Stalin, ballistic missile designer Alexander Nadiradze and philosopher Merab Mamardashvili.
