Metallurgical Plant (RMP) in Rustavi

Rustavi Metallurgical Plant (RMP) in Rustavi, one of the largest industrial facilities in Georgia, is located 30 kilometers south of Tbilisi. The plant was founded in 1948 and is the first fully integrated metallurgical complex in the South Caucasus. In 2011, Rustavi Steel LLC was created to acquire the assets of the plant and further develop its activities.

Today, the Rustavi Metallurgical Plant is successfully operating and produces a wide range of products, including fittings, stainless steel pipes, square bars, iron castings, metal structures, mechanical parts, shaped castings, granulated slag, silicomanganese, lime and limestone. The plant is actively expanding its presence in regional and global markets, exporting products to the European Union, the USA, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

One of the main tasks of the new plant management is to increase production volumes and systematically update production. The introduction of new technologies and the training of young personnel with the support of experienced employees are priority areas for the development of the enterprise. The plant provides jobs for more than 1,600 people.
