Georgian Association of Educational Initiatives (SIQA) in Rustavi

The Georgian Association of Educational Initiatives (SIQA) in Rustavi is a non-profit organization operating since 1999 both in Georgia and abroad. SIQA promotes the development of critical and creative thinking and the implementation of innovative or proven forms of teaching and learning. The purpose of the association is to transform a person into an active and development-oriented citizen through the use of non-formal education among members of society, regardless of age.

The association's activities are aimed at solving environmental, legal, economic, social, educational, community, cultural, anti-corruption and youth issues through educational activities. SIQA also promotes the development of civil society and the implementation of educational and democratic principles in Georgia.

Among the main activities of SIQA are the organization of events and camps for schoolchildren and students, the work of clubs (discussion, environmental, civic, cooperative educational programs), increasing the involvement of various segments of citizens, the involvement of Georgian volunteers in international projects and the participation of foreign volunteers in local projects. The Association is also engaged in adapting foreign programs to the Georgian environment.
