Vahan Teryan House Museum

The Armenian poet and public figure Vahan Teryan was born in 1885 in the village of Gandza, Ninotsminda district. Today, in the house where the writer spent his childhood and youth, there is a memorial house-museum named after him. It was formed in 1957. Visitors of the exhibition can see not only the poet's personal belongings, his achievements, letters and notes, but also the interior of the study, living room.
The museum fund keeps exhibits demonstrating Teryan's literary activity, in particular original editions of translations of works by Akaki Tsereteli, Charles Baudelaire and Heinrich Heine into Armenian, as well as collections of poems and works.
It is Vahan Teryan who is credited with a significant contribution to the development of Armenian literature. Among the features of his work, musicality and richness of language are noted, which are not inherent in other publicists.

Интересно окунуться в историю и посмотреть, как жили люди сотню лет назад, особенно, если это были известные личности. Дом-музей Вагана Терьяна позволяет познакомиться с домашним бытом поэта и писателя. Жаль, что дом постепенно разрушается, но хорошо, что власти пытаются сохранить и уберечь то, что осталось
