Gorelovka Russian-Dukhobor Orphanage

The Gorelov Russian-Dukhobor Orphanage Museum is located in the Ninotsminda municipality, in the village of Gorelovka. It was founded in 2008 and is part of the Cultural Center of the Ninotsminda Municipality. The museum has the status of a non-entrepreneurial (non-profit) legal entity. The museum's exposition is located in the building of the Russian-Dukhobor orphanage, built in 1847 on the initiative of Luceria Kalmykova, the leader of the Dukhobor movement. The children's complex includes a variety of buildings associated with the cultural life of the Russian Doukhobors, as well as a farm. The orphanage acts as a spiritual center for Russian Doukhobors and a place for worship. Open daily from 11:00 to 17:00. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with ID), people with disabilities (with valid ID) and refugees.
