Zhiuli Shartava Museum

The Zhiuli Shartava Museum is located at: st. Shota Rustaveli, 150, Senaki municipality. It was founded in 2004 and is a non-profit legal entity - the Student Youth and Cultural Center of the Municipality of Senaki. This memorial museum is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Georgian public figure and former chairman of the government of Abkhazia, Zhiuli Shartava (1944-1993). The museum's collection includes memorial items, manuscripts, correspondence, photographs and other artifacts that belonged to Zhiuli Shartava. Open daily, except Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Entry is free for visitors. Additionally, free entry is provided to children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with ID), as well as people with disabilities (upon presentation of a valid ID) and refugees. The museum presents exhibitions demonstrating various aspects of the life and work of Zhiuli Shartava.

Музей оказался настоящим путешествием в историю, которое началось уже с самого здания. Архитектура здания музея сама по себе рассказывает о веках, прожитых Грузией. Я прогуливался среди каменных стен, ощущая себя частью древней истории этой земли. Это был не просто музей, а настоящий хранилище времени.
