The Lasha Gakharia Museum, located in the village of Mukhuri, Chkhorotsku Municipality, was founded in 2014. This historical museum, which has non-business status, is a memorial museum and occupies a special place in the cultural heritage of the region. His collection includes 239 different items. The museum's collection is a unique assortment, including memorial artifacts, elements of living and ethnographic culture, church exhibits, paintings, graphics and photographs. The museum's exhibition allows visitors to better understand the richness and diversity of the history of Chkhorotsku. The museum is open to the public every day, except Mondays, from 10:00 to 18:00. It is important to note that entrance to the museum is absolutely free for all visitors. In addition, children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with an ID card), as well as people with disabilities who present a valid ID card, and refugees are exempt from the fee. This opens up the opportunity for a wide range of visitors to enjoy the wealth of cultural heritage presented in the unique exhibits of the Lasha Gakharia Museum.
