Khobi (Kheta) Local Lore and Military Glory Museum

The Khobi Local History Museum and the Museum of Military Glory are located in the village of Kheta, in the Khobi municipality. Founded in 1985, these museums are part of the Cultural and Educational Public Center of the Khobi Municipality. These museums are historical and house 1,567 objects. The collection includes materials from the 2nd-1st millennia, such as clay ceramics and fragments found during archaeological excavations in Kulevi. Also presented are details of building materials from the pre-feudal period and ceramics from the 19th-20th centuries. The museum also has ethnographic materials, household items, agricultural implements and memorial items of famous personalities such as the scientist Tedo Sakhokia, as well as theater and film actors Pierre and Badri Kobakhidze, associated with this place. The collection includes furniture, clothing, posters, publications by Tedo Sahokia, documents and photographs. The museum also stores materials and documents of veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Open daily, except Monday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members with ID, people with disabilities upon presentation of a valid ID, and refugees.
