Tarasi Kvaratskhelia House Museum

The house-museum of Tarasi Kvaratskhelia is located in the village of Nakipu, Tsalenjikha Municipality, and was founded in 1987. This museum has the status of a non-entrepreneurial (non-profit) legal entity and is part of the Cultural Center of the Tsalenjikha Municipality. It is a memorial museum dedicated to the outstanding Georgian scientist and academician Tarasi Kvaratskhelia (1889-1951). The museum's collection includes 95 unique items that belonged to Tarasi Kvaratskhelia. Here you can see memorial items, manuscripts, correspondence, photographs and much more, which allows you to get a closer look at the life and legacy of this outstanding personality. Open daily, except Monday and Tuesday, from 10:00 to 17:00. Entry is free for all visitors. Special benefits are provided to children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (holders of ID cards), as well as people with disabilities and refugees upon presentation of the appropriate ID. It also conducts educational programs, including scientific classes in collaboration with the Kutaisi Subtropical Institute and the Tbilisi Agrarian Institute.
