The house-museum of Mevlud Charkseliani is located in the village of Latali, Zhibiani, Mestia Municipality. Opened in 1993, the museum has the status of a private institution and is a historical museum. The museum's collection is a Svan two-story residential building of the 12th century with an arched pedestal covered with slate keria. Also on display are the 19th-century Mahvsha sanctuary, a 16th-century basement, a knitting machine, a leather processing machine, a monolithic ladder, a bronze handle, a kevri, a granite grain grinder, decorative wooden plates, a clay pot, fighting tools and Svan household items. Open daily, except Monday, from 08:00 to 19:00. The ticket price is 5 GEL. Free entry is provided to children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with an ID card), persons with disabilities (with a valid ID) and refugees.
