Shovi is a balneological and climatic resort on the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus

Shovi is a balneological and climatic resort in the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region, at an altitude of about 1520 m above sea level in the Chanchakhi River valley. The resort is surrounded by coniferous (spruce, fir, pine) and deciduous forests, as well as the impressive peaks of the Greater Caucasus.
The resort is famous for its carbon dioxide-hydrocarbonate calcium-sodium mineral springs. It is recommended for health treatments for diseases of the respiratory tract (asthma, chronic bronchitis), digestion, liver, gallbladder and urinary tract, lymphadenitis and anemia. Shovi was founded in the first half of the 20th century and became one of the popular health resorts.
The climate is alpine: winter is cold (average temperature is about -6 °C), summer is cool and mild (average temperature is about +16 °C). The best time for vacation is from June to October. The resort is conveniently located: about 30 km from the regional center of Oni and a few hours' drive from Kutaisi or Tbilisi.
