In the secluded mountains of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, rises the Daryal men's monastery complex, dedicated to the Holy Archangels. This spiritual sanctuary, immersed in reverent silence, is located at an altitude of 1300 meters above sea level, in close proximity to the border of Georgia and Russia.
The permeating atmosphere of the place is mesmerizing: here, among the majestic mountain peaks, there are several ancient churches, united in a men's monastery complex. According to legend, 12 temples are planned to be built on the territory, each of which promises to become a new symbol of spiritual strength and greatness.
The history of the monastery is closely intertwined with the events of the newest era: from the beginning of construction in 2005, at the call of the Patriarch, to the consecration of the Church of the Holy Archangels in 2011 by Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II. This place is imbued not only with ancient wisdom, but also with modern spiritual aspirations.
Despite its seclusion, the monastery complex is easily accessible: just 10 kilometers from the center of Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) and 150 kilometers from the capital. A trip here will not only be an exciting adventure, but also an opportunity to immerse yourself in the spiritual heritage of Georgia, feel its power and harmony with nature.
