Aleksandre Melik Pashaev House Museum

In the village of Shaumyani, Marneuli municipality, there is the House-Museum of Alexander Melik Pashayev. It was founded in 1988 and is the cultural center of the area. This museum is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Armenian conductor Alexander Melik-Pashayev, who directed the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow. His collection contains unique artifacts: manuscripts, personal belongings, conductor's notes, even his tailcoat and baton. Open to the public every day from 10 am to 6 pm, except Sunday and Monday. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with an identification card), as well as for people with disabilities and refugees (upon presentation of documents).
