Rustavi Steel Metallurgical Company

Rustavi Steel LLC, founded in 2011, acquired the assets of the Rustavi Metallurgical Plant, one of the largest production facilities in the metallurgical industry of the Caucasus. Located 30 kilometers south of Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, the plant has a rich history since its founding in 1948. Initially, it was the first enterprise in Transcaucasia with a full metallurgical cycle, producing steel, hot-rolled seamless pipes and various products made of cast iron, aluminum and iron.

In the past, the Rustavi Metallurgical Plant met the needs of the oil fields of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and the countries of the Middle East. Today, the new management and owners of the plant are focused on its restoration and development, actively working to expand its presence in regional and global markets as part of a comprehensive investment and restructuring program.

Rustavi Metallurgical Plant today successfully produces a wide range of products, including fittings, seamless pipes, square products, iron castings, metal structures, mechanical parts, shaped castings and many other products. To strengthen its position in the market, the plant is actively increasing production volumes, carrying out technical re-equipment and introducing modern technologies. Particular attention is paid to the training of young specialists with the support of experienced employees.

The products of the Rustavi Metallurgical Plant are exported to the European Union, the USA, Russia, the countries of the Middle East, as well as to neighboring Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. The company employs more than 1,300 employees, making a significant contribution to the development of the metallurgical industry and the economy of Georgia.
