Black Capercaillie Waterfall - the forest pearl of the Lakedekh Reserve
- Description
Black Capercaillie Waterfall (Rocho Waterfall) is a small but picturesque 6-meter cascade in northeastern Georgia, inside the Lagodekhi Nature Reserve, not far from the center of Lagodekhi.
The trail to the waterfall runs 5 km from the information center: first through a rare hornbeam forest (400-600 m above sea level), then through mixed plantings (ash, maple, chestnut and others). The route is suitable for those who like easy walks in nature and relatively simple trails.
The walking tour takes 3-5 hours there and back. The trail includes forest paths and several fords across the river, but is not too difficult.
The waterfall itself is the epicenter of peace: the water falls between green rocks, from where cool, refreshing foam rolls down. Bright reflections on the water or rainbows in the sun make the place even more photogenic.
Rocho Waterfall is ideal for a secluded holiday in nature and an easy walk without overloads. And around - the opportunity to see wild fauna and rare flora, breathe in the scent of the forest and forget about the bustle of the city.
