Pore Mosulishvili House Museum

Georgian foreman Fore Mosulishvili served in the Red Army during World War II, in 1944 he was captured by Hitler in Italy. He managed to escape from the Fascist camp and save more than 70 prisoners of war, for which Faure was recognized as a national hero of the Soviet Union and the Italian Republic. He was posthumously awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, the gold medal “For Military Valor” and the Garibaldi medal.
The whole world knows the feat of Fore Mosulishvili: he sacrificed his life to save his comrades at the time of the capture of the partisan detachment by the fascists. His last words were: “Long live Italy! Long live freedom!”Thanks to his bravery and dedication, sixteen of the hero's combat companions remained alive.
The house-museum has preserved photographs, documentary data, memorabilia, personal records and awards. Of particular interest are maps of military events, a chronicle of the actions of the military and his comrades.
