Pankisi Ethnographical Museum

Pankisi Ethnographic Museum is located in the village of Duisi, Akhmeta municipality. Founded in 2010 and operates as a non-profit institution at the House of Culture of the Akhmeta Municipality. The museum specializes in historical topics and presents a rich collection spanning the period from antiquity to the Middle Ages. The exhibition includes items reflecting the culture and history of various population groups, such as Georgians, Kists, Ossetians, as well as refugees from Chechnya. The collection includes historical, archaeological and ethnographic materials, creating a fascinating immersion into the diversity of the region's cultural heritage. Open to the public every day, except Monday and Friday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Entry is free, making it accessible to a wide audience. As part of cultural events and holidays, the museum organizes temporary exhibitions to complement its permanent exhibition. Particular attention is paid to interaction with educational institutions, such as municipal schools. The museum actively cooperates, offering educational programs and events aimed at enriching knowledge of the history and culture of the region.
