Vaso Godziashvili House Museum

The Vaso Godziashvili House-Museum is located in the village of Vakiri, Sighnaghi Municipality, and was founded in 1986. The museum has the status of a non-entrepreneurial (non-profit) legal entity and is a service center for art and education of the Sighnaghi Municipality. This memorial museum is dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Georgian theater and film actor Vaso Godziashvili (1905-1976). The museum's collection includes about 700 items, including memorial artifacts associated with the actor, ethnographic materials, examples of fine art (paintings, drawings, sculpture) and crafts. The museum also displays performance costumes, posters, theater sketches, photographs and other materials telling about various aspects of Vaso Godziashvili’s life. Open daily, except Monday, from 10:00 to 18:00. The entrance is free. As part of the museum's exhibition program, there are exhibitions entitled "Roles in the Theater and Cinema of Vaso Godziashvili", as well as educational programs, including "I love you, my walls."
