Ilo Mosashvili House Museum

The Ilo Mosashvili House-Museum is located in the village of Vakiri, Sighnaghi Municipality, and was founded in 1983. This museum is the center of art and education in the region and has the status of a non-profit organization. Its collection contains more than 2,700 items, including things related to the life and work of the Georgian writer Ilo Mosashvili (1896-1954), ethnographic objects from the 19th and early 20th centuries, editions of the writer’s works, musical instruments, furniture, paintings, graphics, sculptures and photographs dedicated to his life and work. Open daily, except Monday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Entry is free and visitors can enjoy the permanent exhibition. There are also educational events such as Museum Open Day.
