Kutai Museum of Photo and Newsreel, named after David Mkheidze, is located at: st. New Port, 7, Kutaisi. It was founded in 1993 and operates as a non-entrepreneurial (non-profit) institution under the auspices of the Kutai Union of Artistic and Educational Institutions. The museum specializes in the field of art and currently houses 146,442 valuable exhibits in its collection. These items include unique photographs and film materials related to the history and daily life of Kutaisi and the Imereti region. Museum visiting hours are daily, except Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 17:00. It is important to note that entry to the museum is free for visitors. Free admission is allowed for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with appropriate identification), as well as for people with disabilities (upon presentation of a valid ID card) and refugees.
