Memorial house-museum of Zakaria Paliashvili, located at st. Varlamishvili, 25, in the city of Kutaisi, was founded in 1963. This museum is a non-profit institution owned by the Kutai Union of Artistic and Educational Institutions. The museum is a memorial collection that includes about 2,000 items related to the life and work of the outstanding artist Zakaria Paliashvili. The exhibition features memorial artifacts, as well as 19th century, European mechanical and national instruments. Visitors can view documentaries, photographs, manuscripts and many other interesting materials. Open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 and entry is absolutely free. The main exhibition of the museum is called “Zakaria Paliashvili in Kutaisi” and presents a memorial exhibition. In addition, the museum actively interacts with public schools, offering educational programs. There is an annual evening of live music, as well as a series of events called "Conversations from the French Quarter".
