Local Lore Museum in Baghdati, located at st. Bagdati, 51, Bagdati, Bagdati Municipality, is a significant cultural institution representing the rich history and culture of the Bagdati region of Georgia. Founded in 1940, the museum operates as a non-entrepreneurial (non-profit) legal entity and serves as a cultural and development center for the municipality of Baghdati. The museum exhibit includes a collection of 5,600 historical and ethnographic objects illustrating the historical development of the region, from the early Stone Age to the end of the 19th century. Visitors can get acquainted with the unique numismatic, bonistic (banknotes and securities), ethnographic and archaeological collections. The museum is open to the public every day except Mondays from 10:00 to 18:00. The ticket price for adults is 3 GEL, for children - 1 GEL, and excursion service - 15 GEL. Free entry is provided to children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) upon presentation of an ID card, people with disabilities (on presentation of a valid ID card) and refugees. The Baghdati Regional History Museum is an important place for exploring and understanding regional history and culture, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the past of this unique region of Georgia.
