Kharagauli Historical Museum

The Kharagauli Historical Museum was founded in 1978 and is located at: st. April 9, 47, Kharagauli municipality. It is part of a non-profit legal entity - the Cultural Center "Kharagauli Center". This museum specializes in historical collections and currently houses over 11,000 artifacts. The museum's collections are diverse and include objects from different eras: from funerary artifacts of the 2nd-1st millennium BC. to numismatic collections, modern painting and sculpture. Here you can see bronze buckles, axes, ancient jewelry, coins from different eras - from the period of the Georgian king Heraclius II to Russian copper coins of the 19th-20th centuries. In addition, the collection includes examples of crafts, household and ethnographic objects from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as religious artifacts such as early printed books, icons and priestly robes. The museum is open daily, except Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00. The entrance is free. In addition to the main exhibition, various exhibitions are held here - from numismatic materials to painting, photography and graphic works. Educational programs for all ages are also available, such as “Lesson in the Museum”, “Volunteer Guides” and “Little Archaeologists”, organized by Shorena Kaviladze (tel. 577 96 18 85).
