Polikarpe Kakabadze House Museum

The house-museum of Polykarp Kakabadze is a special place in the village of Patara Kuhi, Khoni Municipality. Opened in 1986, the museum is part of the Non-entrepreneurial (non-profit) legal entity "Museum of the Khoni Municipality". It is a memorial museum dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Georgian playwright Polycarp Kakabadze (1893-1973). The museum's collection includes 442 memorial items, including various editions of the playwright's works, photographs, documentary materials and much more. The museum is open to the public every day, except Saturday and Sunday, from 10.00 to 17.00. Entry is free, making it accessible to everyone. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum regularly organizes annual exhibitions dedicated to the anniversary of Polycarp Kakabadze. In addition, educational programs such as “Theater and Life” and “The Work of Polycarp Kakabadze” are held here. These programs are designed to broaden visitors' understanding of the playwright's creative legacy and the performing arts in general.
