Giorgi Tsereteli House Museum

The house-museum of George Tsereteli is located in the village of Tskhrukveti, Chiatura municipality. It was founded in 1973 and functions as part of the Chiatura Educational-Cultural and Cultural-Creative Center. This memorial museum houses more than 530 items related to the life of the writer and his family. The museum's exhibition includes personal belongings of Tsereteli and his ancestors: accessories, clothing, as well as furniture from France, Italy and Germany from the first half of the 19th century, household utensils, a library with publications in Georgian, Russian and French, as well as manuscripts writer and materials related to other public figures. The museum is open daily, except Sunday and Monday, from 10:00 to 17:00. Ticket prices are 1 GEL for adults and 0.50 GEL for schoolchildren and students. However, entry is free for children under 6 years of age, employees of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (with identification), people with disabilities (upon presentation of appropriate documents) and refugees. As part of the museum's programs, the exhibition "The Great Scientist George Tsereteli" and the educational program "Let's Know the East" are held.
