Lake Jadzhi - a high-mountain pearl
- Description
Lake Jaji is located in the southern part of the Meskheti Range, on the border between the regions of Guria, Imereti and Samtskhe-Javakheti. This high-mountain lake is distinguished by its picturesque nature, cool climate and silence, which makes it attractive for tourists and trekking enthusiasts.
You can get to the lake by several routes:
- Through Abastumani - the path is picturesque, but requires physical fitness;
- Through the Persati plateau - one of the most beautiful climbs;
- From the village of Derzerli - the longest, but also the most convenient route for travelers, especially those who travel by public transport.
The best time to visit is from June to July, when the alpine meadows are in bloom and the lake is filled with clean mountain water. The climb takes several hours, but the views around are worth every step.
Jadji is an ideal place for those who are tired of cities and are looking for peace, purity of nature and silence. This is one of the most secluded lakes in Georgia, where people go not for the service, but for the real contact with nature.
