House-Museum of Pridon Khalvashi in the village of Gegelidzeebi

The museum, founded in 2012, is a unique space dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Georgian poet, writer and public figure Fridon Khalvashi. In the museum you will find a rich collection of manuscripts, photographs, personal belongings and the personal library of this outstanding personality.
We are pleased to invite you to visit us every day, with the exception of Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00. And what’s especially great is that admission to the museum is absolutely free. We also provide free entry for children under 6 years of age, staff of Georgian and foreign museums, ICOM members (presenting a card with ID), people with disabilities (with a valid ID) and refugees.
Freedon Khalvashi was an outstanding figure in Georgian literature and politics, a laureate of the Shota Rustaveli Prize and the author of many works that reflected the richness of the culture and history of Georgia. The museum dedicated to his memory provides a unique opportunity to plunge into the world of his work and life.
