⚡ Atmospheric, but with nuances: review of the Fabrika hostel in Tbilisi

Fabrika Hostel is not just a hostel, but a symbol of Tbilisi’s new creative and urban spirit. Located in a former sewing factory, it has become the epicenter of the city’s creative life, surrounded by bars, galleries, shops, and street art. It attracts not only budget travelers but also those who want to be “in the heart of the action.”

We stayed in a two-level suite with a convenient layout and direct access to a large rooftop balcony, which turned out to be one of the main highlights. Inside, everything is stylish and industrial, though not entirely perfect.

    ✅ What we liked

Location: the trendiest district in Tbilisi, close to bars, coffee shops, stores, and nightlife.
Atmosphere: more than just a place to sleep — it’s a cultural hub full of life.
Spacious two-level room: a separate sleeping area on the second floor, a great option for couples or friends.
Rooftop/balcony access: spacious and beautiful, perfect for having coffee or relaxing outdoors.
Design: a unique industrial style with artistic elements, thoughtfully done.
Common areas: comfortable spaces for socializing, working, and relaxing.

    ⚠️ What could be improved

Not enough power outlets: there were too few sockets in the room, especially inconvenient for 3–4 guests with multiple devices.
Incomplete set of towels: for a booking of 4 guests, towels were provided only for 2 — this is something that should be better controlled.
Poor shower drainage: after showering, the water does not drain completely, and the bathroom floor remains wet for a long time.
Uncomfortable staircase to the second level: requires extra caution, especially when going down at night.
Lack of storage space: no shelves, drawers, or even hangers to conveniently organize personal belongings.
Parking requires attention: despite available space, there is a “No Parking” sign nearby and towing may be enforced. If you arrive by car, make sure to choose your parking spot carefully in advance.

    💡 Recommendations for guests

Fabrika is more than just a hostel — it’s a cultural space. If you value style, atmosphere, and creativity, this place is definitely for you.
When booking, make sure to clarify how many people the room is designed for and whether all amenities are included — especially if there are more than two of you.
The suite’s second level is accessed via a steep staircase — please be careful, especially at night or if you’re traveling with children.
Bring an extension cord or power strip — power outlets may be limited, particularly when staying with a group.

If you’re arriving by car, choose your parking spot carefully — there is a “No Parking” sign near the building and towing may be enforced.

    🛠 Recommendations for the owners

Add more power outlets or provide extension cords in shared rooms and suites.
Ensure rooms are properly equipped: if a booking is for 4 guests, there should be 4 sets of towels.
Improve the shower drainage system to enhance comfort and keep the bathroom dry.
Consider an alternative staircase design or add a handrail and warning stickers.
Create a simple guide to safe nearby parking and display it at reception or include it in the pre-arrival email.

Fabrika is a stylish and atmospheric hostel in Tbilisi's trendiest neighborhood. The two-story suite with rooftop access was impressive, but be wary of the stairs and parking.
