Извилистые дороги Местии приводят к сокровищам, скрытым среди гор. Один из них – маленький храм в самом сердце города. Хотя на этот раз попасть внутрь не удалось, внешние стены сами по себе – произведение искусства. Видимость старинных фресок сохраняет дух веков, удивляя уникальностью каждого штриха. Скромное очарование древней архитектуры словно переносит в прошлое. Интересно, что разгадок и историй тут больше, чем можно узнать за один приезд. Обязательно вернусь, чтобы проникнуться этой древней магией более глубоко.

One of the most beautiful and well-preserved Gregorian churches in Svaneti from the 11th century, featuring frescoes from the 11th/12th century. Just ask a nearby family member to open the church for you. A small donation is appreciated. The paintings, which are 900-950 years old, remain original and in excellent condition. It’s a significant part of Georgia’s national heritage.

訪れたときは閉まっていたけれど、次回訪れるときにはぜひ更新したい。外観しか見られなかったことが残念だけど、外壁には古いフレスコ画がかすかに残っているのが興味深かった。これらの図案がすべて古いかどうかはわからないが、魅力的でした。この教会は14-15世紀のものらしい。
