  • Description

Lado Museliani Museum of Local Lore in Lentekhi is a unique exhibition located in a watchtower made in the traditional Svaneti style. Visitors to the museum can view a rich collection of archaeological finds from the Lechkhumi region, most of which date back to the Bronze Age. The exhibition also includes church ritual objects of the 11th-12th centuries and handwritten prayers of the 17th-18th centuries.

One of the features of the museum is the ethnographic collection presented in Machubi - a typical Svan residential building, which allows visitors to better understand the life and traditions of Lower Svaneti. The Lado Museliani Museum in Lentekhi will be of interest to a wide range of visitors, including researchers and lovers of history, archaeology, ethnography and culture of Georgia. This place is an important center for the preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of the region and provides everyone with a unique opportunity to plunge into the history and traditions of Lechkhumi and Svaneti.
