Bus station Gori

I suggest reconsidering taking a minibus to Uplistsikhe from the bus station. It makes numerous stops around the city before heading through two villages and then circling back to the city. The last minibus leaves at about 17:30. You'll need to walk along the highway to reach the museum and settlement. If you miss it, you can catch a train at Kvakhvreli station to either Gori or Tbilisi. The train to Tbilisi goes by around 19:15, and the one to Gori at 20:00.

Perfect spot for both travel and shopping.

The marshrutka to Tbilisi departed on schedule for 5 lari. A great experience, though not without its minor flaws.

TBC ATM is available. Bank cards are not accepted for payments. There's no timetable for departures. You can find food and shops there. It's quiet after 6pm.

Некомфортный вначале, но потом замечаешь: водители маршруток умеют помочь. Немного ворчат, конечно, но понимание приходит. Чтобы добраться куда надо — учти расписание заранее.

Местные жители – твой лучший справочник, здесь словно попадаешь в другую эпоху. Вопрос только в языке: если не владеешь грузинским, без переводчика будет тяжко.

Станция расположена довольно далеко от центра, что ощутимо бьет по времени. Пешком идти долго, автобус – лучшее наше решение. Если поездка превратится в квест, не удивляйтесь, это часть местного колорита.

To get to Kutaisi, head to the main highway and catch any marshrutka going in that direction.

Just like nearly every other bus station in Georgia, you'll need to ask people for the bus schedule, and it's better to have a translator because no one speaks English! The station is quite a distance from the city center—about a 35-minute walk. Taking a bus to get there might be a smart choice.

The place can be a bit puzzling, but the marshrutka drivers are quite supportive despite their grumpy appearance. By the way, the marshrutka to Uplistsikhe departs from station 13 at 11:20.

The last marshrutka to Tbilisi departs at 17:50. If you miss it, head to the palace of justice and catch a shared minivan for 7 GEL. To reach there, take any bus from in front of the station for 1.5 GEL.

Una stella non tanto per il caos, che potrebbe anche essere visto come un aspetto culturale del trasporto in Georgia, quanto piuttosto per la pessima qualità dei veicoli raccomandati dalla “cassa”. Qualcuno aveva chiaramente urinato sui sedili e non sono mai stati puliti da allora.
