The Borjomi-Bakuriani Narrow Gauge railway station is located in Borjomi, Georgia. This historic narrow-gauge railway, built in the nineteenth century, until 2019 served the Cuckoo train, which was a popular attraction for tourists and local residents. However, the train was taken out of service in 2019 and has not yet been restored. The rails at the station are rusting, and there are no ticket offices.
Nevertheless, the Borjomi-Bakuriani narrow-gauge railway remains an interesting attraction for those interested in the history of railway transport and engineering structures of the past. A visit to this station can be part of your Borjomi excursion program, especially if you are interested in railways and technological achievements of the century before last.
Please note that Bakuriani is a winter resort, and in summer there may not be as much entertainment here. If you are planning a trip to Borjomi in the summer, be sure to think about the route and transport for your return, since the narrow-gauge railway does not operate.
