How to buy train tickets to Tbilisi from Moscow

First, tourists from Russia need to get to Armenia. For this, you can choose any mode of transportation:

• plane;
• train;
• car.

The final destination can be both the capital of Armenia and the city of Gyumri. The train stops in Gyumri, which takes less time.

Tickets can be purchased online using the South Caucasus Railway website. It is indicated that an electronic ticket is presented when boarding, but in fact, only a passport is checked.

Sales start 40 days in advance, payment only by MasterCard.

Entry conditions from Russia to Armenia and Georgia

Travelers will have to cross two borders, each with its own restrictions related to COVID-19. In general, the requirements are similar in all countries.

Schedule and prices for train tickets

Train number 372 runs on even dates until mid-June. Train number 371 returns from Tbilisi on odd dates. In the summer, it is replaced by train numbers 202/201 which travel to Batumi.

The ticket price varies depending on the type of carriage and seat. Discounts are available for children aged 5-10, and children under 5 travel for free.

• Lower berth in coupe class - 2800 rubles.
• SV (1st class) - 3600 rubles.
