Currently, citizens of the Russian Federation have the right to enter the territory of Georgia by car without confirming documents. It is enough to present a valid passport and car documents.
Please note that if there are marks in the passport about visiting Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the border service will not allow tourists into Georgia. Experienced travelers enter Abkhazia with their Russian passport and use their foreign passport for tourism in other countries. Crossing the border will take no more than two hours on weekdays, but it is best to arrive at the checkpoint as early as possible on weekends.

If budget is the primary concern, traveling by car may be the most economical option. It allows you to have greater control over your itinerary and potentially save on transportation costs. However, keep in mind that the journey can be quite long and may require multiple days of driving, along with expenses for fuel, tolls, and accommodation.
Taking a train is another affordable option, especially if you prefer a more relaxed and scenic journey. Train tickets are generally cheaper than plane tickets, and you can enjoy the changing landscapes during the trip. However, it's worth noting that train travel may take longer than flying, and availability of direct routes between Russia and Georgia could vary.
Flying is often the fastest and most convenient option for long-distance travel. Airfare prices can vary depending on the time of year, airline, and how far in advance you book your tickets. It's recommended to compare prices from different airlines and utilize flight search engines to find the best deals. Additionally, consider the cost of transportation to and from the airports, as well as any additional fees for luggage.
Ultimately, the choice between car, train, or plane will depend on your priorities. If you value cost savings and are willing to spend more time on the road or rail, driving or taking a train may be the way to go. However, if time is of the essence and you're willing to spend a bit more, flying could be the most efficient option. It's always a good idea to research and compare prices and travel options to make an informed decision based on your preferences and budget.
