Signagi
This city has an interesting history and several legends. In addition, Signagi has several amusing nicknames, one of which sounds like "Misha City. This name refers to the former president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili. It was his idea to turn the city of Signagi into one of the tourist centers of Georgia, the realization of which has been quite successful.
"Georgia's San Marino" is also about Signagi. True, this is how it was nicknamed by the locals. If we believe historical data, throughout its history, Sighnaghi has never been captured by enemies. The reason is quite a good location of the city on a high mountain. Thus, modern Signagi is presented to us in its original form, having undergone only partial restoration.
Signagi is "the city of love. This name corresponds to one of the legends, which tells about unrequited love of a famous artist Niko Pirosmani to a French actress. It was he who gave her, in his time, "a million scarlet roses," of which in modern times there is a song.
According to another version, it was not roses, but different kinds of flowers. There is a third version, according to which Pirosmani gave the actress a cart full of fruit. Bodbe Monastery
