The sights of Georgia are not only ancient buildings that are filled with the atmosphere of the medieval era. One of these buildings is the Alphabet Tower in Batumi.
The ABC Tower began construction in October 2010, and in the winter of 2011 the building opened its doors to visitors. The construction of one of the most memorable towers of our time cost the authorities 65 million lari (approximately 22 million dollars). To date, the maintenance of this facility costs the authorities 60,000 lari annually (approximately 1.4 million Russian rubles). The main designer of the building is Alberto Domingo Cabo, who is not the first to be attracted for construction in Georgia. Previously, Kabo designed and built the Georgian Parliament building in the city of Kutaisi.
The architectural features of the building should be mentioned separately. The composition is aimed at a height of 130 m, whose image resembles a double-stranded DNA helix, and at the top there is an observation deck, a terrace and an observatory.
The outer side of the spiral is decorated with letters of the Georgian alphabet, so the design was called "Alphabetic". It is not surprising that this building has become the hallmark of sunny Batumi.
From the height of the Alphabet Tower, you can see the most beautiful places of Georgia: the mountains, the snow-white beach, the spreading palm trees and the Black Sea. The tower is located on the embankment of the resort town. The building attracts many tourists with its appearance, the infrastructure is well developed, everything is thought out to ensure a comfortable stay for travelers who wish to enjoy the panorama of the city. Entrance to the ground floor is free, but if you want to take the elevator to the glass dome to see the beauty of Batumi from a height, you need to pay 10 lari per person, which is about 230-240 Russian rubles. Inside the tower, you can dine in an unusual revolving restaurant, from which you can enjoy panoramic views. From a bird's-eye view, there is definitely something to see in Georgia.
The building is also equipped for meetings, there is a spacious conference hall, there are also conditions for private business meetings in VIP rooms.
