The village of Dochu is in the valley of the Gometsari River, on the top of a cliff. The three-story slate roofed houses here are characterized by an abundance of balconies. Preserved in Chigo and Parsma, the 3-4-storey old houses with canopies and loopholes look like fortresses - towers. Several families lived in them.
In Chigo on an elevated site is the common for all Tushin people house of prayer - Lasharis Jvari, where all Tushin people gathered to solve important issues of the community. In addition to Tusheti, the Lashari cult was spread in Pshavi, Khevsureti, communities of neighboring lowlands and among the mountaineers of the North Caucasus. The tradition of worshipping a pagan cult was adopted by the Tushetians from the Pshavi. After the adoption of Christianity (9th century), the pagan cult merged with the Christian tradition.
