🏺 Shumi Museum - a journey into a thousand-year history
The Georgian Wine Museum, located on the territory of the Shumi Wine Complex, is not just an exhibition. 🍇 It is a real repository of knowledge, where the entire history of Georgian winemaking comes to life, starting from the 5th millennium BC. ⏳ Here, every room and every object is part of a living story about how wine culture was formed in Georgia. 🇬🇪🍷
In 2005, SHUMI founded the First Wine Museum in Georgia, which contains exhibits of ancient Georgian traditions of life and winemaking. 🏺 Most of the exhibits are artifacts found during archaeological excavations in Kakheti. 🕵️♂️ The oldest artifacts in the museum are over 6,000 years old, and they represent the life and development of winemaking in different eras of Georgia. 🗓️🍾

The museum consists of both indoor and outdoor exhibits. You can walk among ancient grape presses, massive clay qvevri, archaic fermentation vats, traditional wine storage vessels and other exhibits found in archaeological excavations throughout Georgia.
