The two-day walking route passes through Tusheti and has a length of 32 km. During the trip you will get acquainted with the most beautiful places of Georgia and see the sights of the country. The track route to Omalo begins.
The Tusheti region is located on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus in a remote mountainous region of Georgia. The sights of Georgia in Tusheti are unique corners of nature, ancient Tusheti towers, mountain villages, Keselo fortress.
In order to preserve the pristine nature, a National Park was created in 2003 and tourist routes were laid out to explore these places. Visiting is only possible from June to September. Registration is required at the visitors center of the park in Omalo.

From Omalo to Omalo: villages of Chagmatusheti and gorges of Gometyari
The route starts and ends in the village of Omalo, the main village of Tusheti. The hike is designed for 2 days, it is necessary to overcome 32 km.
Day One
Descent from Omalo to the gorge, ascent to the villages of Khakhabo and Chiglaurta. Along the ridge – to the village of Sabue. Descent into the gorge of the Ortskali River and ascent to the village of Goglurta.
Day Two
Transfer to the village of Dochu through the gorge on foot or by a longer route, partly by car. Information about the condition of roads and bridges will be given in the Visitor Center.
From Dochu to Omalo, you can drive by car, visiting the village of Bochorna on the way.
