Route description
The route is of medium complexity, a distance of 20 km is proposed to be overcome in 2 days.

The distance from Tbilisi to the starting point of the route is 70 km.
Day One: Aragvi Gorge – summer farms. Distance: 10 km. The initial height is 850 m .
The trail starts from the bank of Aragvi in the lower Sharachevi gorge. The dirt road goes from Aragvi River to the village of Kvemo Sharachevi (3.5 km).
Then the trail goes in a south-easterly direction and up to the village of Zenamhari. The ascent will be about 850 m. You will walk through the forest, see the ruins of ancient churches.
Overnight accommodation is expected at an altitude of 1700 m. There are summer farms, shepherd shelters with stoves and a supply of firewood. In winter, you will find heating in the huts, dry your clothes and spend the night. But in the summer shepherds live here, so have a tent in your equipment.
Day Two: summer farms – Hmala Mountain – Bodakhevi village, 10 km.
The trail from the overnight place and the village of Zenamhari leads to the northeast. Ascent to the Hmala mountain (2160 m).
In good weather, it offers amazing views of the Caucasus Mountain range and Mount Kazbek. Its Georgian name is Mkinvartsveri – "mountain with an ice peak" or "ice peak", and the Russian name of the mountain comes from the name of Prince Kazbek, who in the early 19th century owned a village at the foot of the mountain.
Down the trail goes south-east through alpine meadows, gorge and forest, to the village of Bodakhevi.
